More than a year has passed since I've even considered this blog again, nearly deleting it multiple times for all the bad drawings on it. But the purpose was to watch progression. Begin Again, blog of the joyful fools!

to hopefully improve my effect on the industry of both children's literature and fantasy art,

and the opinions of those closest to me

i've gone ahead and decided to end this here blog,

the one titled

'the joyful fool'

only because people can't understand what that means

through this internet stuff.

this goes with being in person too.

i no longer have to adhere to things only the joyful fool would do.

i am simply

nelson.

this doesn't mean i won't be filling the void with non-sense and tomfoolery.

i'll go ahead and suggest approaching life in a joyfully foolish manner

and will continue to do so,

but the joyful fool is poor and happy,

and i want to be able to have a house...

among other things.

we'll see if this impedes on my happiness.

i don't think it will.

my intentions were to live like basho and ryokan

wandering japanese poets.

that's something one does

when one is alone.

i don't want to be alone.

not in this whole general mishmash of all things.

the joyful fool was a wonderful project to explore,

i did not do these things without reason.

in college i learned

that is important to experience the story in order to understand it.

my profession is story telling.

i'll do it through words, pictures, and sounds.

now we can tear it apart and construct into a story.

i know this doesn't seem like a big change

but in this here head of mine,

it feels great.
